Original Multiboard Designs

Permitted Uses:

  • You are free to use, download, and modify, the Designs and make Designed Works (printed parts) for personal use.

Restrictions:

  • You may not share or redistribute copies of the original Designs.

  • You may not use the designs for commercial purposes unless you hold a Commercial Subscription, see the terms below.

Remixed Designs

Sharing and Distribution:

  • You are free to share and distribute Remixed Designs, provided the modifications are more than minor edits.

  • You must distribute Remixed Designs under the same license terms as the original.

  • You must give appropriate credit, and provide a link to the license. We also encourage you to indicate the modifications you made.

Rights Granted to Keep Making:

  • You grant Keep Making a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide, and irrevocable license to use and modify the Remixed Designs. This does not mean selling your Remixed Design.

Subscriptions

General:

  • Some Designs may require a paid Subscription to access.

Commercial Subscription:

  • The Commercial Subscription (“Multi Partner” Tier) permits the use of Designed Works (printed parts) for commercial purposes, with total sales of the Designed Works not exceeding $50,000 USD per annum.

  • When displaying Designed Works for commercial purposes, you must give appropriate credit.

  • To use Designed Works derived from Remixed Designs for commercial purposes, you must hold a Commercial Subscription and obtain consent from the third-party designer.

Revocable License

  • The license can be withdrawn or canceled by Keep Making at any time.

Footnotes

  • Designs — Including but not limited to designs, drawings, documentation, and manuals or downloadable files that are owned or licensed by Keep Making.

  • Designed Works — Any physical product produced or derived from a Design (e.g., 3D printed parts).

  • Remixed Design — A derivative or adapted version of the Designs that incorporates substantial modifications that should be more than minor edits and maintain recognizability as a derivative of the original Design, without transforming into an entirely new and unrelated product / new intellectual property.

  • Appropriate Credit — Accreditation that includes Keep Making’s name, and a link to the Platform, presented in a way that does not imply endorsement by the licensor.

  • Commercial Subscription — “Multi Partner” membership tier on Thangs: https://than.gs/u/234635?plans=true

  • Commercial Purposes — Involves producing and selling Designed Works (3D printed parts) commercially, exclusive of selling or sublicensing any part of the Designs themselves.
